Happy May, everyone! It’s crazy how close we are to summer and lots of sunshine. Gotta say, I’m pretty dang excited about it.
But you know what else I’m looking forward to? Road trips and graduation! There is something so nostalgic about going on a roadtrip to someplace you love, with the windows down, and your favorite tunes playing softly in the background. It got me thinking that with travel season swiftly approaching, maybe I should share some of my quick travel skincare tips!
Even if you’re busy traveling, your skin should still be looking and feeling it’s best...especially with all the graduations, weddings, and fun summer vacations all coming up!
So, if you’re anything like me, when traveling you won’t have a bunch of extra storage space or a lot of time. But that doesn’t mean your skin has to suffer! Rather than just forgoing your skincare routine, try this:
- Simplify your routine & products.
Only bring your favorite products. And I mean the ones you just can’t bear to live without, the essentials. What cleanser just makes your face perfectly clean and glowy? Is there one moisturizer that makes or breaks it for your skin? You don’t want to be half way through your trip, using some random skincare from Walgreens that you picked up out of desperation along the way!
- Get creative with travel sized containers.
If your go-to favorites aren’t available in travel-sized options, then consider buying mini storage containers like these ones. Just be sure to store all liquids in a sealed bag so you don’t end up with a mess of open products!
- Consider bringing a moisturizer that doubles as an SPF.
I mean, that cuts out one whole step doesn’t it? It is so important to keep your skin protected from all that sunshine, wind, and toxins, and a great moisturizer and SPF does just that! Keep sunburns, wrinkles, and frown lines at bay with one product.
- Have you tried a Makeup Eraser?
It literally changed my life….well, at least my skincare routine! This amazing washcloth completely gets rid of all makeup and residue with one or two swipes. No more losing eyelashes from attempting to scrub stubborn mascara off. I’m not kidding you! It works with waterproof mascara to even the most durable of lipstains. It has significantly cut down the amount of time it takes me to become makeup free at night, and it packs down great for travel.
Aaand that’s a wrap! I hope you found some of these tips helpful and will try them out this summer. So many states are opening up, so even if you’re not flying there are so many adventures awaiting you! Where will your next trip take you? I’m over here wishing you a wonderful summer and that goddess skin glow. :)
Stay true to yourself,
